This is an all-media group exhibition with filmed performance-based work and video work encouraged.

Breeden Endowment Grant

Recently, my project, Contemporary Cast Sculpture Drawing: Bringing Greater Diversity and Inclusion Into the Studio Art Classroom, was fully funded by the 2021 Daniel F. Breeden Endowed Grant Program at Auburn University. This project aims to introduce a contemporary and inclusive approach to the practice of academic cast drawing by commissioning diverse, naturalistic portrait sculptures from a living artist. The Daniel F. Breeden Endowed Grant Program supports teaching and learning projects that directly benefit the instructor, students, and Auburn University’s overall teaching program. It is managed by the Biggio Center, and the grant review and selection panel is drawn from the University Senate Teaching Effectiveness Committee. Click image for more information about the program.

SECAC Conference 2020

Participants discussed various ways of representing bodies in a contemporary context, and examined a range of approaches to the human form that expand upon or transcend classical, academic, or popular-culture ideals of representation.
