Interpreting Movement: Manifestations of Expression at UVU

I was invited to show work in Interpreting Movement: Manifestations of Expression February 21- March 7 at Utah Valley University:

Show Statement

Art is a powerful tool that can be used to reflect on human experience. For many artists the body is the primary conduit for both conceptual thought and physical action, making it easy to see why movement is referred to as the universal language of expression. Herein, each work becomes a record of the body and mind, weaving together many actions to create a harmonious dialogue that transcends the given medium. The works in this show have been selected and organized to highlight the profound connection between the visual and the kinetic. They stand as a study in the intricacies of movement.
